Ingeborg Christie - What I love about the wild / Kruger Park

June 13, 2012

While we're in the same place for the next few months we've invited guests to contribute to There & Here by telling us what they love about their favourite place in the world. Our guest this week is Ingeborg from Nelspruit.
Ingeborg Christie - The Wild / Kruger Park design
What I love about The Wild / The Kruger Park is that I can hear only nature's sounds of birds singing, wild animals living, trees and grass moving from the wind, waters running, and that all around me is untouched by mankind. It's a timeless place that 'has been' and 'will be' for many many years.

To me, The Wild is like escaping to a place where time passes slowly. Nothing can disturb you other than the sounds, smells and visuals of mother nature – which is no disturbance at all. Time does not exist in the sense that what you see around you has been in existence for thousands of years, though it is everchanging, the natural elements remain the same – Earth, Water, Nature, Air and the living Wild. It is a place with no interference by mankind – and that gives a very peaceful state of mind, which is what I love.

Ingeborg Christie Ingeborg is originally from Barneveld in Netherlands, but she has lived in Nelspruit since 1999. She is a self-employed graphic designer.
