Ben Rankel - What I love about 5th Street S.W.

While we're in the same place for the next few months we've invited guests to contribute to There & Here by telling us what they love about their favourite place in the world. Our guest this week is Ben from Calgary.
What I love about 5th St SW is my walk home and the little rainbow reflection on the one-way traffic sign at the corner of 5th and 12th.

I like to imagine it’s a portal to another dimension or a time-warp or a wormhole or something. I know it’s silly but that’s what I think about every single time I pass that corner. And that’s usually when I stop thinking about all of the work day monotony and really let my mind wander -- when I really start to imagine. Then suddenly I’m home.


Ben lives in Calgary, Alberta where he spends his days designing graphics and spends his evenings designing worlds.
